In this section we will explain the steps on how to create a release for created Document.

By clicking on the File > Release you will start the release process.

The Document can be versioned with the auto-versioning feature:

  • Major version - can be manually changed
  • Minor version - is automatically incremented on every release
  • Patch/bug fix version - always 0 for auto-versioning

Alternativelly, If selected Set Versions Manually auto-versioning will be overrided and any of non used versions could be set.

By clicking on the Release button, read only version of the document will be created (e.g. puzzlescloud-1.0.0.docx). Main document will continue to live independently.

There are the following options with the released document:

  • Share link for DOCX (Creates link of the DOCX to be downloaded from PuzzlesCloud website)
  • Share link for PDF (Create link of the PDF to be downloaded from PuzzlesCloud website)
  • Add DOCX to Google Drive (for Google authenticated users who allowed access to their Google Drive)
  • Add PDF to Google Drive (for Google authenticated users who allowed access to their Google Drive)
